The Parasite Laboratory carries out both fundamental and applied research on the management of a wide range of parasitic disorders that are significant on a global scale. The majority of the work done by the group is focused on the discovery of natural and synthetic novel medications and drug combinations as potential therapeutic interventions for malaria and lymphatic filariasis, as well as the characterization of therapeutic targets using molecular techniques.
